How long does it take?

In a nutshell
You can prepare your child's Assessment Package at your own pace. Some families move through the process quickly, while others complete it over several days or weeks as information becomes available.
You do not need to finish in one sitting
Threadline is designed to fit around family life.
You can complete an activity, leave and return later. Your progress is saved as you work through the assessment preparation journey.
Some families prefer to complete several activities together. Others add information gradually between work, school and other commitments.
Both approaches are fine.
Some information can take longer to collect
Teacher input and previous reports are often the parts that take the most time.
A teacher may need a few days to complete their questionnaire. You may also need time to locate an older report or request a copy from a provider.
Threadline helps you see what has been completed and what is still outstanding.
Good to know
Your Assessment Package does not need to contain every document your child has ever received. The goal is to build the clearest, most useful picture possible.
Your assessment appointment has its own timeframe
Completing Threadline is separate from the timing of your child's clinical assessment.
Your clinician may need one or more appointments and may request further information after reviewing what you have prepared.
Threadline helps you get organised before and during that process, but it does not determine how long the clinical assessment itself will take.
