Who is Threadline for?

In a nutshell
Threadline is designed for parents and carers preparing for an ADHD assessment for a child or adolescent.
You might find Threadline helpful if
Threadline may be useful if:
- you have started wondering whether ADHD could be part of your child's story
- your GP has suggested further assessment
- you have already booked an ADHD assessment
- you are waiting for an assessment appointment
- you are collecting reports, questionnaires or teacher information
- the preparation process feels difficult to organise
You do not need to be certain your child has ADHD before using Threadline.
Assessment exists to understand what is happening. Threadline helps you prepare the information that may support that process.
Threadline is designed for families
Threadline guides parents and carers through assessment preparation.
It helps bring together information from home, school and your child's history so it can be organised into one Assessment Package.
What Threadline is not for
Threadline is not an emergency or urgent mental health service.
It also does not diagnose ADHD, provide medical advice or replace care from your child's clinician.
Need urgent help?
If you are concerned about your child's immediate safety or health, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting to complete an Assessment Package.
Clinicians can also benefit from organised information
Although Threadline is designed around the family journey, the Assessment Package is prepared to help clinicians review information from different sources more efficiently.
The clinician remains responsible for deciding what information is relevant and for making all clinical decisions.
